I'm a writer, former journalist, ex-expat, and current immigrant.
In my professional life, I've worn a lot of hats – as a reporter, copy editor, magazine managing editor, blogger, and website content developer.
In 2022, I moved with my family (husband, two teenage kids, two middle-aged dogs) from the United States to Berlin, Germany. And so now I must reinvent myself, yet again, in midlife.
On this website, I write about the Big Things I care about – writing, history, travel, sustainability, healthy communities – but also random stuff like the last fantastic book I read, why I can't multi-task, and the many reasons AI is stupid.
